It is a SERA activation for Base's Onchain Summer which aims to bring the next wave of builders and creators together. Base has a vision of bringing the next billion people onchain and SERA wants to make sure they all have access to space! To commemorate, SERA has created three original artworks that form a triptych.

Yes. In 2022 we sent a member of our community to space on Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket. And now, in partnership with Blue Origin, we are doing this again. This time we have six seats on a single launch. Read more about Victor’s flight here: SERA's First Astronaut

Yes, the six members of the winning crew will travel to outer space. The New Shepard's flight profile reaches 100km in altitude, crossing the Karman Line which is the internationally recognized boundary of space. All of them will officially become astronauts.

Anyone who is over 18 years of age at the time of flight is eligible. You also need to be from a country that is not on the US sanctions list and meet Blue's minimal physical requirements for flight. We have reserved six seats on New Shepard. Five seats will be allocated to citizens of partner nations, which will be announced over the coming weeks, and one seat will be open to anybody on the planet not from a country on the US sanctions list. When you use your spacesummer collectibles to enter the program, you will go through a KYC process to determine which seat you are eligible for.

For now, just mint one SERA collectible from Base (Onchain Summer) and you will be able to join SERA for free when the Mission Site goes live over the coming weeks. Holders of all 3 collectibles will be eligible to be fast-tracked into the second phase of astronaut selection.

No. For this flight you only need 3 days of training. The training takes place in the days prior to the launch at Blue Origin’s astronaut village in West Texas, USA.
